In this class, students will learn basic woodworking terminology, shop policies, general rules, safety, and proper use of woodworking equipment. This will be learned through a Woodshop Overview PowerPoint, a Safety Walkthrough, and a hands-on experience utilizing the woodshop tools to process rough sawn lumber into milled lumber using basic woodworking techniques. Equipment includes, miter saw, panel saw, table saw, bandsaw, planer, jointer, drum sander, disc sander, edge sander, spindle sander, and drill press.
