The 16 Tech Community Corporation has named Divakar Ramakrishnan, Ph.D., Chief Digital Officer of Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), to its Board of Directors. Ramakrishnan joins the board during a time of significant momentum for the 16 Tech Innovation District and brings extensive digital health expertise to the board.
Located on the near west side of downtown Indianapolis, the 16 Tech Innovation District is designed to ignite collaboration among innovators and entrepreneurs in life sciences, tech, advanced manufacturing and engineering in an urban live-work-play-learn environment.
The 16 Tech Community Corporation Board of Directors guides the physical and programmatic development of the 16 Tech Innovation District. The board members provide expertise across the many industry sectors and community partners needed to accomplish 16 Tech’s mission, including life sciences, healthcare, technology and advanced manufacturing.

Ramakrishnan is a 20-year veteran of Lilly and was named chief digital officer in 2018. His team is focused on developing digitally enabled care products and solutions, and personalizing insights for patients, aimed at helping them to improve health outcomes. He also serves as Lilly’s vice president of delivery, devices and connected solutions, with locations in both Cambridge, MA, and Indianapolis, IN.
