SUMMARY:Waterjet & CNC Plasma Cutting Training
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n \n  \n  \nIn this combined class\, students will have the opportunity to learn and become certified on two cutting-edge machines: the CNC Waterjet Cutter and the STV CNC Plasma Cutter. This class is designed for both beginners and advanced users\, providing a comprehensive learning experience for all skill levels.  \nWith the CNC Waterjet Cutter\, students will learn how to design for the machine\, understand its specifications\, fixture materials such as ceramic and metal to the bed\, and cut their designs. The waterjet cutter offers precise cutting capabilities and can work with a range of materials.  \nIn addition\, students will become certified in the use of the STV CNC Plasma Cutter at Machyne Makerspace. This machine features a 48″ x 96″ table and utilizes a Hypertherm65 torch\, allowing for cutting up to ½” thick steel. Students will learn how to convert 2D vector designs into CAM files suitable for plasma cutting. They will also explore different cut paths\, consider kerf thickness based on material thickness and plasma cutter tips\, and delve into design techniques specific to CNC plasma cutting. The Hypertherm65 is capable of cutting mild steel\, stainless steel\, and aluminum.  \nWhether you’re new to these machines or already have some experience\, this class provides a valuable opportunity to gain certification and enhance your skills in working with the CNC Waterjet Cutter and STV CNC Plasma Cutter.  \nIf this is your first time attending one of our classes\, please make sure to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for filling out a liability waiver. This waiver is necessary to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment during the class. Please note that if you arrive later than 10 minutes past the scheduled start time\, you will not be able to attend the class. Punctuality is important to maintain the flow of the session and respect other participants’ time.

SUMMARY:Waterjet & CNC Plasma Cutting Training
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nIn this combined class\, students will have the opportunity to learn and become certified on two cutting-edge machines: the CNC Waterjet Cutter and the STV CNC Plasma Cutter.

SUMMARY:Create a Bluetooth Device Workshop: Combining Connectivity & Enclosure Design
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nIn this first of three workshops\, you’ll dive into the world of creating an Internet of Things device. Not only will you learn how to make two Bluetooth chips communicate with each other\, but you’ll also discover how to use Arduino to interface with them. It’s important to note that you won’t take home a physical device from this workshop – it’s all about learning and gaining valuable skills. \nThis workshop will cover beginner-level introductions to reading circuit diagrams\, using a protoboard\, soldering\, Bluetooth communication and coding\, CAD\, and the choice between laser cutting and 3D printing for creating enclosures. Each workshop is designed to stand on its own\, so don’t worry if you can’t attend all three – you’ll still walk away with valuable insights. \n  \nWhat You’ll Learn: \nPart 1 – Making Connections Discover how to establish connections between Bluetooth devices and Arduinos. Learn soldering basics\, reading pinouts\, and protoboard usage with the guidance of our skilled instructors. \nPart 2 – Designing Enclosures Participate in real-time design of CAD enclosures for our devices. Convert ideas into digital designs that are both visually appealing and functional\, without having to be an experienced CAD designer. Gain insights into using laser cutting and 3D printing to bring the designs to life. \nPart 3 – Creating Your Enclosure Transform our digital enclosure designs into tangible creations. Experience the excitement of real-world prototyping via laser cutting or 3D printing. Learn pro-tips regarding assembly of our device within the newly crafted enclosure. \n  \nWhy Attend: \n\nHands-on experience in electronics\, soldering\, and prototyping.\nLearn to design enclosures using laser cutting and 3D printing.\nDiscover the fundamentals of Bluetooth communication and coding.\nDevelop practical skills in using Arduino for device creation.\nNo prior experience needed – we’ll provide step-by-step guidance.\nConnect with fellow makers and share in the spirit of creation.\nAll necessary materials will be provided.
