SUMMARY:Create a Bluetooth Device Workshop: Combining Connectivity & Enclosure Design
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nIn this first of three workshops\, you’ll dive into the world of creating an Internet of Things device. Not only will you learn how to make two Bluetooth chips communicate with each other\, but you’ll also discover how to use Arduino to interface with them. It’s important to note that you won’t take home a physical device from this workshop – it’s all about learning and gaining valuable skills. \nThis workshop will cover beginner-level introductions to reading circuit diagrams\, using a protoboard\, soldering\, Bluetooth communication and coding\, CAD\, and the choice between laser cutting and 3D printing for creating enclosures. Each workshop is designed to stand on its own\, so don’t worry if you can’t attend all three – you’ll still walk away with valuable insights. \n  \nWhat You’ll Learn: \nPart 1 – Making Connections Discover how to establish connections between Bluetooth devices and Arduinos. Learn soldering basics\, reading pinouts\, and protoboard usage with the guidance of our skilled instructors. \nPart 2 – Designing Enclosures Participate in real-time design of CAD enclosures for our devices. Convert ideas into digital designs that are both visually appealing and functional\, without having to be an experienced CAD designer. Gain insights into using laser cutting and 3D printing to bring the designs to life. \nPart 3 – Creating Your Enclosure Transform our digital enclosure designs into tangible creations. Experience the excitement of real-world prototyping via laser cutting or 3D printing. Learn pro-tips regarding assembly of our device within the newly crafted enclosure. \n  \nWhy Attend: \n\nHands-on experience in electronics\, soldering\, and prototyping.\nLearn to design enclosures using laser cutting and 3D printing.\nDiscover the fundamentals of Bluetooth communication and coding.\nDevelop practical skills in using Arduino for device creation.\nNo prior experience needed – we’ll provide step-by-step guidance.\nConnect with fellow makers and share in the spirit of creation.\nAll necessary materials will be provided.
